Be Brave

 Hello Halloween Lovers,

I am here today to remind you that there is still time to join in the fun at the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.  This is my Mid-April Reminder.  For my reminder card I decided to go with a big spooky Spider Web and some spiders!

For this card I took some Black paper and stamped the Unity Stamps Entanglement stamp with Versamark ink onto the paper.  I heat embossed it with Artic White embossing powder.  Next I took some Red Shimmer paper and the Spider dies and the Be Brave die and cut them out with the Red paper and added them to the card.  I took some White Shimmer paper and cut out the long spider die and added it to the card.  I took some White Pearls and added them to the Red spiders and I took some Red gems and added them to the White Spider. I was inspired to make this from the top right photo on the Inspiration Board below with the spider web hanging from the tree branch.

When I saw this photo it made me think of Mother Nature protecting the World and this old stamp and die set seemed perfect for these two challenges!

We Have the Whole World in Our Hands

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a card that I made for the Double Trouble Challenge 163 ~ "Let's Get Krafty and the Inspiration Station Prompt #60.

Here is my card:

April brings Earth Day and both of these Challenges are honoring Earth Day.  Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22 to show support for Mother Earth!  I think that we all should be stewards of the earth because there is no Planet B!  The first Earth Day was held in 1970.  The official theme for 2024 is "Planet vs Plastics" and we all should do our part to recycle.

Here is the inside of my card:

And:

For the Double Trouble "Let's Get Krafty" we are to use recycled paper or Kraft card stock.  I chose to used some corrugated kraft paper on my card.  We were also to use shades of Blue since Earth is the Blue Planet.  For the Inspiration Station Prompt #60 we are to us the photo below for Inspiration:

When I saw this photo the first thing that came to my mind was one of my childhood favorite songs "He's got the whole world in his hands" and that is what inspired my card.  So I found an image on Pinterest with several hands holding up the world.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I do believe we all hold the world in our hands!

I am entering this card in the following Challenges:

Four Seasons Challenge ~ April ~ Anything Goes Spring

Hello Friends,

Welcome to the Four Seasons Challenge for April with a theme of Anything Goes Spring.

I was inspired to make this card from the picture on the lower left hand side of the Inspiration Board listed below my card.  I have always like the saying "April Showers Bring May Flowers" so I couldn't resist making a card about that!

Here is my card for the Four Seasons April Challenge:

Ingredients:

 Flower stamp
White Card Stock
Blue Sky paper
Neenah Solar White paper
Black ink
Copic markers
Distress Oxides assorted colors

For this A2 card I started by stamping the Colorado Crafts Company All Weather Friends stamp with Black ink onto Neenah Solar White paper and colored it with Copic markers and than cut it out with the Colorado Crafts Company All Weather Friends die.  I took a piece of Neenah Solar White paper and a cloud stencil and  assorted Distress Oxides and made clouds on the paper.  I took the cloud paper and the Scrappy Tails Crafts A2 Cloud Frame Cover Plate and cut out the frame.  I took a piece of Blue Sky paper and added the Cloud frame to that and added that to a White card base.  I took the Bunny with the umbrella and added him to the card.  I took the sentiment and stamped that with Black ink onto the card, I also stamped the rain drops.  I took a flower stamp and stamped that with Black ink, colored the flowers in with Copic markers.
